Our Best Answer:
Is there a maximum amount of financial aid I can receive during my lifetime?

Maximum Financial Aid Amount

The Federal Pell grant has a lifetime maximum of the equivalent of 6 full-time years of attendance, calculated as 600%.  Federal student loans have an aggregate limit of $57,500.00 total for an undergraduate student, $138,500.00 for a graduate student, and $224,000.00 for professional students in the Pharmacy and Optometry programs. The Dept. of Education will track these totals (for Pell and loans) and will include the information on your FAFSA results. You may also look up your information in the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) at to see how much you have already used.
