Why is my loan amount on my bill showing less than the amount I was awarded?

Most student loans have an origination fee that will be deducted by the lender before funds are received by UIW. In most cases, this will cause the difference you see on your bill. However, if you are in the ADCaP, Virtual, or Graduate programs at UIW, your aid is being split in half each semester due to the types of terms you are enrolled in. The amount you are seeing may only be the first half for the semester. Please contact the Office of Financial Assistance at 210-829-6008 or finaid@uiwtx.edu for more information.
